If you've been waiting for the right window to plan your Umrah, August 2026 is shaping up to be one of the best months to go. Fewer crowds, comfortable group logistics, and some of the most competitively priced group departures of the year make this a month worth locking in early - and seats are already filling up.
Here's a complete breakdown of the August Umrah Group Packages, so you know exactly what you're getting before you book.
August sits outside the big rush periods (Ramadan and the months leading into Hajj), which means better hotel availability near the Haram in both Makkah and Madinah, smoother visa processing since agencies aren't juggling peak-season volumes, more relaxed Ziyarat and Tawaf timings without the dense crowds of Ramadan, and sharper group pricing as airlines and hotels open up better rates in the shoulder season.
The one thing to plan around is the weather - Makkah and Madinah run hot in August, so mornings and evenings are the best time for outdoor Ziyarat, and staying close to the Haram (rather than a longer walk away) makes a real difference to comfort.
There are three confirmed group departures this August, all flying Air India from Delhi, with hotel stays within walking distance of the Haram in Makkah and at Hotel Markaziya in Madinah.
Group 1 departs 01 Aug - 15 Aug 2026, running for 16 days on Air India, starting at Rs.1,01,000 per person.
Group 2 departs 20 Aug - 03 Sep 2026, running for 15 days on Air India, starting at Rs.99,000 per person - the most affordable of the three.
Group 3 departs 22 Aug - 06 Sep 2026, running for 16 days on Air India, starting at Rs.1,10,000 per person.
Prices above are on a quad-sharing basis. If you'd prefer more space, double sharing adds roughly Rs.20,000 - Rs.25,000 per person depending on travel dates, while triple sharing adds roughly Rs.8,000 - Rs.10,000 per person depending on travel dates.
Exact room availability and pricing can shift slightly based on dates, so it's worth confirming your preferred group before booking.
This isn't a bare-bones deal - the August group package is genuinely all-inclusive. It covers your round-trip air ticket, Umrah visa with travel insurance, hotel stay walking distance from Haram in Makkah and at Hotel Markaziya in Madinah, all meals throughout the trip, group transportation, and guided Ziyarat in both Makkah and Madinah (2–3 hours each city). You also get an Umrah kit, an on-ground local team in Makkah and Madinah for any assistance, 24/7 customer support, and complimentary 5 litres of Zam-Zam water to bring home - essentially, 100% peace of mind with no last-minute scrambling for transport, meals, or guidance.
Traveling with the family? Infants up to 2 years of age are priced at Rs.25,000. Children between 2-6 years without a bed are charged Rs.25,000 less than the adult cost, while children with a bed are charged the same price as an adult.
Booking is straightforward and staged, so you're not paying the full amount upfront. You start with Rs.10,000 per person as the initial booking amount, followed by 75% of the remaining balance due 15 days before departure. The final balance is payable once your visa, tickets, and hotel vouchers are handed over.
You'll need a scanned copy of your passport with a minimum of 6 months validity remaining, a passport-size photograph, and your PAN card.
The booking amount is fully refundable if you cancel 30 days or more before departure. Inside that 30-day window, the package becomes non-refundable — so if your dates are still tentative, it's worth holding off on final confirmation until you're sure, or choosing a group with more lead time.
Group 1 (1-15 Aug) is the earliest window and the most budget-friendly of the three - a good fit if your leave is confirmed early and you want to beat the mid-month rush. Group 2 (20 Aug-3 Sep) is the most affordable overall and spans the transition into September, useful if your work or school calendar frees up later in the month. Group 3 (22 Aug-6 Sep) overlaps closely with Group 2 but runs a day longer, giving slightly more time for Ziyarat and rest between the two cities.
Spots in August group departures move quickly, especially at these starting prices. If you'd like help picking the right group, adding family members, or upgrading to double sharing, reach out and the team will walk you through it.
